Enjoying my fruit punch.

So when August rolls around all of our friends look forward to one weekend only. Aloha weekend. It is a fun weekend because we can all get together and hang out in the hot hot sun and the guys (minus Randy) get to play baseball. Our team rarely wins but this year they won their Saturday game which meant that they were to play on Sunday...what were you guys thinking?!? Needless to say we didn't get to go to Sunday's game because it had been a long weekend for someone...ahhem Randy! He seemed to have drank himself silly on Friday night and was still feeling somewhat woozie on Sunday. Poor guy! He has to remember that he is now the Big 3-0.

The Farm

here kitty!
A flower for dada
Wow a flower that Lauren didn't want to smell!
Feeding the Sheep...baa baa

I can feed them all by myself!
...this little pig went to the market...this little pig got to eat!
Big ears!

So as some of you who read this may recall Lauren and I had visited The Farm back in June, but thanks to my old digital camera who's battery died we were unable to post any pictures. So because we absolutely had a great time the first time we had to return with Randy and the nice camera. This time around we got to see the horses too! Lauren had such a fun time with feeding the animals--she was persistant with trying to give a bottle to every animal she came across. A little apprehensive at first, but once she got the hang of it there was no stopping her from feeding all of the animals. Note: must go early in the morning when the animals are hungry and active.

We took a nature trail to go to the pond and say hi to the ducks and to our surprise two little kittens joined us. They were very playful jumping in and out of the woods. Then we made our way to see the big sheep. Lauren loves to say baa baaa. So she got to hear some real baas..

Lions and Tigers and Bears OH MY!

So last Wed. Randy took off work so that we could have a long weekend (keep in mind that the Annual Aloha was starting on Friday-the REAL reason for taking off). So we started off the morning going to the N.E.W. Zoo in Suamico. What a perfect day. Not many people and the temp. was just right. We saw some farm animals as well as some zoo animals. We even got to pet a giraffe! They have really LONG eyelashes. We also got to see a lion sleeping up close - with a glass barrier in between of course! We sure have seen alot of animals this summer. Lauren really can't get enough of them though.

...still typing

So I had to take a break from typing as my posts are always so long...and I still haven't found an easier way of posting pictures on here. Can anyone help me out...it is a pity that you can only upload five pictures at a time. Oh well!
More Birthday cake please!!!!!
Back to our weekend. After spending the day at nana and papa's the guys went golfing and we took naps. Then we ate again...surprise surprise. As if our stomachs weren't full enough we had a fire in the pit and devoured some side pork. yum yum.
The next day was sunday and we all went to church and came back for some more food...have you figured out yet that eating is what we are good at? After lunch we had a mission to find Fritz our cat as he now resides at my parents farm. Randy had found him earlier in the weekend and my dad was surprised that he found him so quickly. So we all set out to find him. He wasn't in his usual spot in the combine...so we checked out the barn and sure enough he had some how climbed up into the hay loft. Lola had great fun cleaning and playing with her old friend.
Then as if we weren't birthday-ied out we celebrated my sister Allison's birthday too. How cute does she look prego? Happy Birthday Allie!!! Thank you Mimi and Papa Joe for letting us stay with you. We are already looking forward to next weekend with you guys. Aloha here we come!
