Guts

So we finally got the chance to carve into our pumpkins that Mimi and Papa Joe had given to us. And we had so much fun. Lauren had a great time taking the little kids knife and stabbing the pumpkin. She looked a little tooo comfortable doing that!?! Um should I be worried? After we put her to bed Randy and I took out our gargantous (sp?--is that even a word?) pumpkins and started sawing away. I think that when pumpkins get too big their inners are really tough to scrape out. My pumpkin had alot of guts still in it. Randy's on the other had was perfect. Hmmm...he has bigger muscles! That is my excuse.

Hey Daisy

So my sister Allison and Carson still have been patiently waiting for their little one to arrive. Last Thursday they had a Dr. appointment and still no sign of her wanting to come out. After their appointment they always call with an update but this time was different...they gave us an open invitation to come down and preoccupy them --- well I was thinking that Lauren would do a very good job at this. So Friday night we made the arrangements (and sewed a costume for Lauren) and Saturday morning we were on the road headed for Wauwatosa. Note: Halloween in Wauwatosa was on that Sunday and Halloween here in De Pere is actually on Oct. 31...but I am thinking that they will have a baby before that...So in order for Lauren to go trick or treating we also headed down there!
We had a great time. It was so nice to have a relaxing weekend with them. The weather also coorporated too. Sunday we spent alot of time outside. We all took a long walk in the morning to get some HOT coffee and chai. mmmm. Then ate a yummy breakfast. After our tummies were full we chilled out and Lauren took a nap. Then off it was to transforming her into a daisy. She had so much fun. The first couple of houses she wasn't sure what we were doing, but then she got the hang of it and signed "Thank You" and said "bye bye". What a cutie pie she was. Then the wind outside picked up and that was a good sign that we should be done begging for candy.
Playing dress upFeeding the ghostUm guys were is my costume? There that is better!!!And we're off!Such a little helper.Trick or treat

Tumblebees

So for the last month and a half Lauren has been going to a Tumblebees class held here in De Pere at the community center. And well the concensus is...she loves it! She absolutely screams and runs around like it is nobody's business. This week though it was different because there were bars set up. Usually there are just hula hoops to jump through, balance beam to walk on, a wedge thing to roll down on among other activities too. On Tuesday there was a bar to hang from and she could not get enough of it...so much for sharing the bar with the other children! --Although mama was the bad guy and insisted that she must take her turn with it! The teacher came up and said "This is just the beginning!" Gymnastics would be a cool sport for Lauren to be in...although she is not very crazy about the balance beam...She just wants to sit on it!
