A Nice Day

Yesterday Auntie Allison and her dog Jasper came for a visit. We went shopping a bit and found some really cute outfits for Lauren to wear this summer...Now just have to wait for summer weather to arrive! Then my mom and dad came to look at our new home that we are going to move to. We really are getting very ecstatic to move! Our realtor told us that if we start to miss our home that we should call him so we can visit! We may just have to do that. Moving day is right around the corner though...and with all of the packing we may not have time to visit.

Anyways we came home and I made a couple of home-made pizzas. MMMM! We make them in our cast iron pans and they turn out very good! The only problem was that I should have made more!

Today Lauren was having such a great time with Jasper. She play with him and he played right back with her.
It was so nice to have them visit us. They really need to move closer to us so that when their baby comes Lauren will have a great cousin to play with!

A New Week!

Wow have we been busy. In the last week and a half we have sold our home and bought a new one...well almost...aside from signing all the legal papers. We have passed all of the inspections with flying colors...we were so worried that they would find something. It feels so good to not have to worry about selling our home. Now we can start to pack...we did some light packing this past weekend and we both think that we don't have that much stuff! We packed our living room and office area up and we both said wow that was easy and only took up 10 boxes. I really think that we are kidding ourselves though.

In the midst of our Sunday while eating our pancake breakfast Lauren started to play little tricks on daddy while he tried to feed her. She is definitely a little clown sometimes. She gets that from me I think! Her hair is getting long enough so that I can put little "trees" in her hair. For some reason she likes them more than her little clippies.

On a different note though...only in Wisconsin can you wake up and look outside and see this in April! I came downstairs this morning while Randy was sipping his coffee and gasped when I looked out our window at the small blizzard that was outside. I said, "what in the world is this?" His reply was that "it is snow."

A Creative Endevor

So I have been picking my brain into doing something creative and fun to make some extra money. Some people may know this already but my sister Allison has made a business (a successful one) by selling purses. She started Boutique Chez Vous and has been going into peoples homes and selling these wonderful bags. So I was talking to her yesterday and we came up with the idea to use my sewing and design background and make one of a kind fabric purses. I am really excited about this...as she has mentioned that there have been requests for purses that she can't get her hands on. So the demand is somewhat out there. My creative juices are really flowing right now and I can't wait to see my sister and Carson this weekend. We are planning on joining them at one of our favorite spots to eat in Door County which is Mr. Helsinkies. Randy enjoys going there for their tuna and I just love there desserts....mmmm!
I can't wait for this weekend.

No news on any people who are interested in our home. Uggg...is the market that bad...I guess so! We have listed our home pretty competitively...but you never know what could happen. Lauren and I are going this morning to look at a home. So we will see if there will be more than one other home to choose from if our home sells. Wish us luck!

Spring is here!

Early this morning we realized that our house has finally made its debut on the internet. It is official...our house is FOR SALE!!!! Let the craziness begin. I just hope that we don't run into the situation that we were in when we sold our home in Appleton. Our house sold and we didn't have a place to move! So we settled for something that we sorta liked at the time. But time has proven that this is just not the right home for us. We love the area, but we have just outgrown this house.

It is such a warm day here. I have been cooped up in this home for way to long and have been waiting for a day like this to get some yard work done now that the snow has finally melted...and I can safely report that we do not have a flooded backyard. This has been a reoccuring dream of mine at night. Selling a house with a flooded basement....not the ideal situation for sure! So I spent about a good hour raking all of the dead grass and wow does our yard look nice! I am going to sleep so well tonight with all of the fresh air that I got.
