Darling Daisy Anniversary

Happy Anniversary to

This is the day that I started an amazing journey.
I have learned what it is like to manage play time vs. work time.
*um sort of*
I have turned a hobby into a business.
So far the most rewarding thing is to have my products being sold all of the United States.

It is amazing that someone in California has a Darling Daisy Shop flower pin.
Or that some lucky person living in New Jersey is the proud owner of some comfortable headbands.
Oh brings tickles to me!!!

So in all anniversary.awesomeness.
I am thanking all of you
-even those of you I don't know-
to FREE SHIPPPING on ALL DARLING DAISY SHOP products.
Wowza!  You heard me
So now go and take a look.
Treat yourself to something pretty.
Or think ahead and get something pretty for that special friend for the holidays.

Laurens first day of school interview

Here is just a little snippit of Lauren's First Day of School.
And please leave a comment if you can interpret what book they read.
I still can't figure that one out....and I have listened to it at least 10 times!

the day that came to fast!

That is how I feel about this day.

For Lauren it was a day that could not have came soon enough.

School!!!!!

She was sooooo excited, but kept getting disappointed when I told her that she couldn't ride the bus.

Lauren said, "momma you stay here with Claire and I ride the bus to school."
Um okay if there was a bus.

Even if there was a bus, I don't think I would let her ride it. She is just too young I think for that!
So for now she gets to ride with her cool mom and sister to her school.  And that is fine by me!

Here I come!

Claire has been practicing and mastering the art of crawling.
Army crawling that is.
Have you ever tried it?
Dragging your body on the ground and moving with most of the help coming from your arms and a bit from your legs.
Try it...it is hard!!!
And she is quick at it.
Now add to the mix that she is pulling herself up on every.thing...we have a girl on the go!!!
She loves to pull herself up on drawers and suck on the pulls.
mmmm
I bet that feels good on her teeth!
So watch out everyone.  She is curious and fast!!!!

Perdita!!!

Meet the newest girl at Darling Daisy Shop!!!!!
Bernina is her real name, but I am thinking like everyone else around here...
she will have to have a nickname!
Perdita (think 101 dalmations) is one that we will go with,
since she is per.it.y (*pretty*) and she purrs like a kitten.
Which is music to my ears.
NO.MORE. breaking threads.
NO.MORE. breaking needles...i hope!
NO.MORE. tangled messes with bobbins.
NO.MORE. stress.
NO.MORE. eerrrrrrr! and uhhhhhhh!!!!!! from my mouth.
Just pure loveliness..yeah!

The New Home

No we didn't get a new home...

My New Home sewing machine has to find a new home to reside.

She will be replaced with something new-er, happier, and just plain better!

So long for now my sassy friend!

FINALLY!!!

Remember this post?

Well the wait is over...we have teeth!
Claire is *loving* her teeth...mainly because she gets to have yummy puffs!
She also shows them off when she smiles:) which is pretty frequently for her:)
Now we hope that the other pearly whites come in with less pain and less drooling.

Collaboration

We have been wanting to get this done in awhile...
finally another project checked off of the list!

We started off with Claire's hand and foot in the middle.
Then ended up with Randy's hand and foot around the outside.

It didn't turn out quite as we wanted or pictured in out heads,
but it is still something that we did as a family and we are
very proud of our first piece of art.

The Simply Pleated Wristlet

Here are some details about a new product that Darling Daisy launched about a month ago.
It quite possibly could be my favorite item.
It is quite feminine with the ruffled/pleated section on the front.
And don't let its size fool you.
You can stuff all of your daily necessities in it.

These are my things that I have to have.

See I told you so!

claire's first word is mama!
i know that she doesn't know what she is saying.
but still!

now all of you mamas out there know that many times a baby's first word is da da!
not claire's.
she continues to put a smile on my face.
you go girl :)

Claire is officially teething-although no signs of teeth yet.
Lauren is dealing with her allergies-we think.

along with all the tissues there is alot of snuggles being shared---one positive thing.
Right?
i wish i could just say be gone! and poof magic health fairy comes to our house and heals.
-tomorrow is another day -
one day closer to healthyness-i hope!

A new do

A few weeks ago I finally broke down and did something that I didn't think that I would do for at least a couple of years.
I cut Lauren's hair.
Now for the people that have not seen her before, she had great hair.
It was just growing in a little odd.
She will have hair like me.  The back will grow oh so much quicker than the front.
Which kinda looked silly.
Insert possible mullet on cutie pie girl.
After all the wiggles and giggles...i think i did an okay job.
It may be a little crazy...but with her curls no one even knows.

Much better and Lauren even likes it! BONUS!

Oh no!

Note: Wrote this late last night (wednesday)...blogger didn't want to upload video...size was too big i guess.

I have already failed at my new resolution.  Last week has come and gone and this week...well it is almost the same!  I would totally buy time if I could...oh and could I get some coffee with that too!  Anyways, before I go to bed for the day I am going to give you a cute video of the girls.  That little Claire is a sneaky one.  She may look cute...but she does have alternative motives.  We adore and love her though...even Lauren does in this.  Enjoy!

i worsy momma

Oh my where do I start...
First off~ Apologies to anyone that has followed or is following this blog...I am very sorry that I haven't been keeping up with this...hard to do when there are so few hours in a day.  I am trying not to procrastinate with this any.more!
Second of all~My little girlies are getting so BIG!  Lauren is no longer a little girl as she likes to be called "Lauren Grace Big Sister"

And Claire.  Wow she is already seven months old.  Pretty soon she will be crawling, walking and talking.  Oh how time flies.
This summer has already been filled with so much activity.  Hopefully I will be able to play "CATCH UP" as far as this blog goes.

I am hoping to add new posts at least every other day...(ummmm should put things in perspective here...be realistic).  How about every week at least?  Sounds good to me.

The Birthday Continues

Many people celebrate their birthday for the whole week that falls during "their" day. Lauren totally got special treatment during her week. She really does deserve that though. She is such a sweet little individual who makes everyday very interesting and full of new things and excitement. Her perspective of the world right now is so innocent and happy.
I had so much fun planning her party. When I asked her what she wanted for her birthday, she replied "streamers and balloonas" all while twirling her arms and the look of wonder in her eyes. I knew that when it came to decorating the house, I had to have something that Lauren would approve of.

First baby playdate!

While Lauren joined my sister Allison, her husband Carson, their daughter Brooklyn and my Mom and Dad and my youngest sister Andrea and her boyfriend Kevin at the circus, I got to babysit the newest addition to my side of our family.
Reegan is so easy to watch. She is just perfect. She eats and sleeps. I guess typical for her age. She also doesn't cry and she loves to snuggle!!!
Claire had the best time hanging out with her. I think so got that there was someone here to play with her. I think Reegan had a great time too!

The Great Reveal

When Randy came home today...he may have brought home Laurens most beloved object.
Her princess bank turned out perfect!
She may have a yellow eye and blue arms, but in the eyes of Lauren, she is the most beautiful princess.

My baby is 3!

Laurens birthday festivities started the day before her real birthday. We took her to see her first movie at a theater. We saw The Princess and the Frog. What a cute movie.
It was also a first for Randy and I as we went to see it at a theater which serves food and drink all while you enjoy a movie.
I also loved going to this theater because we didn't have to watch previews. I think they are a waste of time...as you can guess I get very impatient easily.
What a great idea for a family activity...note: next time we go we have to remember not to show up 30 min. before the movie starts!
On her actual birthday (which occurred on a Monday) Randy took off of work and we were able to have a family day.
So we had a special day where we all got to use our creativity. We all painted a piece of pottery. Lauren chose to paint a beautiful princess bank. Her style was more abstract.
Randy painted a platter that will fit in with our dinnerware.
And I painted a birthday plate which will be a special plate for the birthday girls. We were there for three hours and I could have spent the whole day creating wonderful things for our home. I want to make a return trip to make things for birthdays. Now we all have to be patient for a few days while our treasures are fired.
