Baby Brooklyn

we had the pleasure of babysitting brooklyn for a few days while her mommy and daddy spent some time at a relaxing spa. we had so much fun. we even had a hilarious time with a little photoshoot. i really miss doing those lately. we haven't done one with lauren because she won't stay still long enough for me to get a decent picture. i need two people to assist me with that. with brooklyn though it was a breeze and she is just tooo cute i couldn't get enough of her and her smile:)

our WICKED night

Yesterday was a very long and exciting day for us.   We trekked through the worst snow blizzard ever.  The wicked witch of the west must have cast a spell on us, by dumping a bunch of snow.  Picture traveling on the highway going 25 to 30 mph.  Pretty bad.  I had been waiting patiently to see the broadway musical WICKED since Christmas.  We weren't going to let a little snow get in our way.   Our night got better when it took us over an hour to get to Appleton.  We had plans on using some gift cards from Randy's boss to TGIF.   We decided then that after exiting the highway, that we should just stop and have a romantic dinner consisting of Arby's in our car that was parked in the ramp.  

When we finally scarfed down our dinner and hiked into the PAC we realized that the trip was worth it.  The musical  was even better than I thought it would be.  And to think that the cast was so small was very impressive.  The set design and costumes were phenomenal!  The story line was a little bit different than the book, but I like how they tied everything together at the end in the musical.  I would definitely go to see it again without a limited view seat!  Our seats were pretty bad.  We must have had the only two bad seats at the PAC.  Total bummer!  

Sorry about having this be in blue and underline.  I must have forgotten how to type in blogger.  Can't seem to figure our how to undo this.  Where is that EASY button?

Happy Love Day!

Happy *Love* Day everyone! We had a great day filled with lots of sweets and fun. Lauren got to go to Disney on Ice with Mimi, Papa Joe, Olivia, Ann, Nana and Papa. What a great time she had. Then everyone came back here and we had a delicious dinner. mmmmm! I think I have a new favorite dish that Randy makes. It consisted of Chicken with Spinach and a yummy sauce! mmmm! Makes me hungry just thinking of it!

This last picture is of lauren's surprise...aka cake! Her birthday is coming fast and this is my second "practice" cake. It is a keeper recipe! Can't you tell by this picture...she couldn't get enough of it! She begged for more! And cried when we told her she had to wait!

finally!

I have finally started to sew things again for my sister Allison's shop Boutique Chez Vous...Click on here to find more info...or book a party! I have so much fun with this whole process. Love picking and being around great fabric and sewing and getting things done! The only thing that slows me up is cutting the fabric! Weird I know.

Ballooons!

We decided to bring out my lava lamp from my high school years and let Lauren have it in her bedroom to look at all the neat blobs that it makes. Those blobs have turned into balloons. She thinks it is the greatest thing and can't wait to go to bed most nights...not that we have ever had a problem bringing her to bed...most times she tells us she needs to go to bed! And to think that Randy wanted to give it as a white elephant present for Christmas...ridiculous!
